Social Justice

Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light

Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light works in partnership with faith and spiritual communities to build transformative power and bring the lights of people’s unique gifts to addressing the climate crisis.

We grow the climate movement in Minnesota by empowering individuals and communities across the state to take action that is authentic, effective, and energizing in their context. Join us in building a powerful social movement for climate and environmental justice.

We also work closely with four affiliates to expand our impact around the world.

Gender Justice

Gender Justice envisions a world where everyone can thrive regardless of their gender, gender expression, or sexual orientation. Step by step, we’re creating that world by dismantling legal, structural, and cultural barriers that contribute to gender inequity. We work to ensure that people of all genders have a meaningful right to bodily autonomy, safety, health, and opportunity.

Gigi’s Playhouse

GiGi’s Playhouse was created to change the way the world views a Down syndrome diagnosis and send a global message of acceptance for all.

We understand that many families are first time parents, and they need us. Many young parents do not expect, or know in advance of their child’s diagnosis, and they need renewed hope and genuine acceptance from day one.

At GiGi’s Playhouse families are never alone. From a prenatal diagnosis to career skills, we make a lifetime commitment to remain by their side. Families are empowered with all the tools their child needs to succeed!

The Commons are spaces that support relationship building, connect people from various backgrounds, and provide resources. We are not a clinic nor is there a fee for service. Unlike many shelters and organizations, we do not require id cards, and we welcome new visitors each time.
